FAQ Section
Q- What is a press release and why would I need one?
A- A Press Release is a vital tool for announcing your business, product or a new service within your business, to the media. The media consists of editors and journalist for newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and trade publication, as well as television and radio stations. This type of marketing informs journalist, editors and producers that you and your service are available to be interviewed for their publication. When you are featured in an article you gain credibility with your buying audience. It says that you are a leader in your field and newsworthy. While an ad is a very acceptable form of marketing a product or service, an article can not be purchased. An ad says, "I'm paying for you to see this and buy from me", while getting featured in a publication announces you and your product or service as newsworthy. It creates a bigger impact much faster than a paid ad can create.

Q- Why do we ask for payment up-front? A- Paying PR Depot upon starting the writing process locks in your project and we can start immediately. It also prevents "customers" from avoiding payment for our services and press release we created for you, in the past we use to complete the work then receive payment, unfortunately some previous clients copied the work and never paid.
Q- How this works? A- Once payment is received, we will then contact you via email and gather the needed details for your press release so that we can personalize it to your company. After completion you will have your professionally written Press Release in 7-10 business days, with additional submission services packages this will take an additional 3-5 working days to send in your press release to the media.
Q- What do your clients say about your services?
A- Not every press release campaign has the same results, our clients will agree that their campaigns have dramatically improved their company's visibility and internet rankings as well as sales. We love to hear of your experience whether good or bad. It helps us target what works and who benefits most from our press release services.
Q- How soon does the press release go out?
A-Your press release will begin distributing within the following business day after it is completed and you have seen the final press release. We see a stronger response with press releases received/opened in the mornings during the week days.
Q- How are your press releases sent?
A- Your press release(s) is sent via email with the text formatted by us for line length and presentation. The text of the press release is sent within the body of the email message as many editors, journalists, etc. will not accept attachments because of virus and bandwidth concerns. If you have an image, you can inform editors where to find it (url) or provide contact details at the end of your press release regarding graphics. No HTML will be placed within the emailed press release. The subject of the email message sent to editors will include your press release title or an abbreviated version of it.
Q- What makes your press release services different from your competitors?
A- We never charge a membership fee. Unlike some press release services, we have no hidden charges, we let you know first hand what your campaign will cost. Our low prices stay low.
We don't spam journalists. Our sources have opted to receive our press releases. Beware of press release services who bombard journalists with unwelcome emails: you'll run the risk of weakening your impact and alienating the very audience you want to impress.
We cannot force an editor or source to accept our press releases as we are opt-in. We strive to continually add new editors and sources but only if they agree or ask to be added.
***Remember that trade publications and some sources (due to printing schedules) may not use a press release immediately so it is advised to measure success over weeks and months rather than days and hours.
Once we have submitted your release (which usually takes 5-10 working days depending on your campaign) , we will send you an email confirming that your campaign was completed.

REPORTING NOTE 1: We do NOT provide a report showing where your news has been sent , since this must be compiled by hand, and would raise the cost of our distribution plans substantially (other major newswire services like BW/PRN do not offer this either, by the way). To view who recieves your release please click on the media sources page.
REPORTING NOTE 2: We never provide media contact names for publications or broadcast outlets, or phone or email data, as contact info is proprietary and we do not "give away" our database.
